“I would strongly recommend Case Works by Miller Computer Group. I have been using this program for several years, after trying several other programs, and found this to be the best by far. I saw it demonstrated at the NE Super Conference in Atlantic City two years ago. . You can go to their website Roy has always been most helpful in assisting me in getting my program running, even after a hard drive crash not related to his program, and making several suggested changes & improvements to the program. He always returns calls to answer the silliest of questions and also calls just to check on "How you are doing." He is continually updating the program and notifies you via email of any updates, which are free and are also downloaded from his website. The program can be a little confusing a first but once you understand how it operates, its aces in my book. It comes with a manual that Roy has spent quite a bit of time improving and is very understandable. What I like best about it is that if you forget to make an entry on a certain day you simply add it in when you can and it automatically goes into the correct chronological order. It generates both case & invoice numbers and has a good built in "spell checker". It will generate client reports if needed or it can add them in detail to the invoice. The program has several add on modules, including an accounting one that will generate statements for you on overdue bills at whatever time period you specify. It also keeps track of sales tax reporting for you. I have used Quicken, Quick Books, Microsoft Money, which are all good generic programs but they don't generate the quality of invoices that Case-works does nor are they tailor made for the Investigative Industry. The program even has provisions for storing photos and a contact & tickler file. You still need a word-processing program for generating certain letters & forms because they are different in every state and area and they are now integrating Microsoft Word with this program and overall this program is a great time saver. It was designed by an investigator for investigators."
